Former police detective Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub) has suffered from intensified obsessive- compulsive disorder and a variety of phobias since the murder of his wife, Trudy, in 1997. Despite his photographic memory and his amazing ability to piece tiny clues together, he is now on psychiatric leave from the San Francisco Police Department. Monk - Season 8
De briljante detective Monk, deze serie heb ik vaak gekeken als ik terug kwam van school of voor ik naar school moest en het was altijd zo verschrikkelijk verslavend dat ik vaak te laat kwam als dit op de tv was. Maar ik heb nu deze dvd in de dvd speler, en ooh wat mooi. Ik vlieg door alle afleveringen heen, nog steeds kan ik niet meer stoppen met kijken. Het verhaal gaat over voormalig rechercheur Adrian Monk, die allerlei dwang neuroses heeft. Na de moord op zijn vrouw krijg ie een zenuwinzinking, en de moordenaar is nooit gepakt. Monk probeert nog elke dag de zaak van z´n vrouw op te lossen. Het verhaal in Monk word verteld door middel van humor, drama en spanning. Veel humor moet je bij dit programma verwachten, door Monk´s neuroses gebeuren de gekste dingen namelijk. Dit is echt een must have voor mensen die van detective series houden, want het is en blijft een briljant programma net als de hoofdpersonage
