Wie had ooit gedacht dat het verhaal achter het ontstaan van een vrienden netwerk site als Facebook kan worden omschreven als rebels, achterdochtig en dus heel spannend? Hoewel Facebook het sociale leven van de individu naar een hoger niveau heeft getild, was het ontstaan van dit sociaal middel minder soepel dan je zou denken. Het werd bij meerdere partijen al snel duidelijk dat het idee achter Facebook de wereld kon veranderen en een plekje kon bemachtigen in het dagelijkse leven van de gemiddelde individu. Door de verschillende belangen en de benodigde samenwerkingen om zo’n website in de lucht te krijgen, ontwikkelt zich een wettelijke strijd waarbij verraad en egoïsme hetgene is wat moet overwonnen.
