Captain Malcolm Reynolds, a hardened veteran (on the losing side) of a galactic civil war, now ekes out a living aboard his ship, Serenity. He leads a small, eclectic crew, but when Mal takes on two new passengers - a young doctor and his telepathic sister - he gets much more than he bargained for. The pair are fugitives from the coalition dominating the universe, and so Serenity finds itself caught between the unstoppable military force of the Alliance, the horrific, cannibalistic fury of the Reavers - and another danger lurking at the very heart of the spaceship...

Serenity (Blu-ray)
Serenity is het vervolg, en tevens de afsluiter, van de befaamde cultserie Firefly. Waar de serie helaas veels te vroeg ter ziele ging trekt regisseur Joss Whedon met Serenity alle lades open om zijn kind een waardig afscheid te geven. Dit is hem meer dan gelukt. Op alle fronten worden fans getrakteerd op meer Firefly, maar dan beter, strakker en grootser. Serenity is verplichte kost voor iedere science-fiction én Whedon fan. Ben je nog niet bekend met Firefly? Kijk de serie dan eerst. De beloning wordt met Serenity des te groter.

Prachtige film
Een mooie film van een mooie serie (Firefly) die helaas veel te vroeg ter ziele is gegaan. Heerlijk nagenieten na ook de Firefly box gekocht te hebben. Zavvi: een tip: vermeld duidelijker of het aanbod op website over NL- ondertitels beschikt. In dit geval is dat gelukkig wel aanwezig.
