Mooi box voor mooie prijs
Mooie verzamelbox met de vijf originele films op Blue Ray. Daarnaast ook de remake uit 2001 en de eerste film van de reboot trilogie die in 2011 is gestart. De meest recente film uit 2014 zit niet in deze box. De prijs voor deze box bij Zavvi is heel veel lager dan waar dan ook op Nederlandse sites. Punt is wel dat er bij de vijf oorspronkelijke films geen Nederlandse ondertiteling aanwezig is. Wel Engels, wat op zich voor mij persoonlijk voldoende is. De twee meest recente films hebben wel Nederlandse ondertiteling. De films zelf zijn van uitstekende beeld kwaliteit, ook de films uit de jaren 60. Bij de films zitten interessante extra's waarin de relevantie van deze films wordt uitgelegd. Zo zaten er in de eerste films thema's die zwaar maatschappij kritisch waren. Het toentertijd nog uitgesproken racisme in Amerika wordt in de films aan de kaak gesteld. Maar omdat dit door metaforen en beeldspraak gebeurd, is het niet zo dat het belerende films zijn geworden. Mij is opgevallen dat de nieuwe films vooral qua effecten en make-up beter zijn. Qua verhaal voegen ze weinig toe aan de oude films. In de film uit 2001 vond ik zelfs de make-up van met name de vrouwelijke apen nauwelijks echt beter. Vooral Helena Bonham Carter deed me steeds aan Michael Jackson denken door die make-up. Ook het einde van die film is vreemd en wordt nergens uitgelegd. Conclusie: Al met al een zeer interessante box met een aantal oude klassiekers en als toetje twee nieuwe interpretaties van het verhaal. En dat voor een zeer goede prijs. Aanrader!

Hele mooie box planet of ther apes blijft echt cult. Goed verpakt moest er wel iets langer op wachten, maar het was het wachten zeker waard

lekker compacte box door dat de films in smalle hoesjes zitten. zelfs als je de nieuwste 2 films al in je bezit heb is deze box zijn geld ok nog meer dan waard bestelen dat is het laatste wat ik je zeg.
