"A Star is Born," stars four-time Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper ("American Sniper," "American Hustle," "Silver Linings Playbook") and multiple award-winning, Oscar-nominated music superstar Lady Gaga, in her first leading role in a major motion picture. Cooper helms the film, marking his directorial debut. In this new take on the tragic love story, he plays seasoned musician Jackson Maine, who discovers-and falls in love with-struggling artist Ally (Gaga). Een prachtige tragedie
Bradley Cooper toont dat hij meer talent in huis heeft dan enkel acteren. Voor deze vierde reinterpretatie van het klassieke verhaal A Star is Born, kruipt Cooper in de regiestoel. Samen met Lady Gaga vertelt hij het verhaal over een countryster die zijn piek gepasseerd is maar door een toevallige ontmoeting met een gepassioneerde en talentvolle zangeres, zijn eigen passie terugvindt. Hij zet haar op weg naar een sterrenstatus maar beiden zullen ze geconfronteerd worden met demonen uit het verleden en uitdagingen in de toekomst. Verpakt in een mooie steelbook, maakt de film op Blu-ray zoveel beter. Let vooral op de geluidskwaliteit van de live optredens die je het gevoel geven dat je bij de acteurs op het podium staat.
